Who We Are

Blank Road.  Tabula Rasa.  The future is what you make it.  If we knew where this was going we probably would just go there straight away rather than trying to enjoy the unknowable journey.  But we don't.  So instead, we've got all this music and we think some of it is pretty good and we are trying our damnedest to do it justice and put it out there and hope that somebody cares.   We hope that one of those somebodies is you.  And if it is, we love you for caring.  That's why it's all free.  It's what we do.  

It has already been a long journey but it is very far from over and it just keeps on getting better and better.  Stay tuned.

Our History

We HATE to admit it but we are children of the 60's and 70's.  We grew up when a top 40 playlist could encompass Frank Sinatra, The Kinks, Sergio Mendez, The Supremes, James Brown and, of course, the Byrds The Beach Boys and The Beatles - back to back on the same station!  For multiple decades, the members of Blank Road have been congregating from the four corners of California to write, arrange, record and, occasionally, perform original music.  Doo-Wop, Folk, Surf Music, The British Invasion, Motown, R&B, The California Sound, Psychedelia, Arena Rock, Pop and Punk.  These are among our roots and we strive to reflect this variety and refresh these influences in our own way - with melody, harmony and lyrics from the heart - the way Rock and Roll was meant to be.
