Highway Wind

This is a story about a guy I know
Down in Mexico
He's got a little palapa down on the beach
Bahia de Concepcion
Just up the hill from his little abode
Up on the road
A bus would unload
And sometimes a lady would get off of that bus
Now she'd either by chasing after someone
Or running from something
No one could say what it was
Ah but my friend he'd always be there to lend a helping hand
He'd offer up his beach to play
Or his couch to stay
One was even there for a year they say
But eventually the'd all go clicking back up that hill
Get back on that bus go chasing after whatever it was
Leaving my friend alone again
He used to say just about every day
Women, you know, they come and go
Soon as one's gone another will show
But in between getting on and off
Another little piece of your soul gets lost ya
Women they come and go
Starts out so soft and low
But gets so loud then it's adios
Ya women they come and go
Starts out so soft and low
But gets so loud then it's adios
Ya women they come and go
Women they come and go
